Top news: First batch of emergency radios have been distributed!

• 1. Call for help with the table at the Earth Day fair, Sunday, April 24th, 11a - 4p. (So far, the forecast looks promising: "A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a high near 62.")

  2. MURS radio training, including setting a date for a system test.

  3. If we have time: Neighborhood updates.

  4. If we have time: Introduction of the tiered preparedness project (creating a comprehensive matrix of preparedness actions people can take at basic, intermediate, and advanced levels).

Discussion

8 radios have been distributed. We did some testing. Most radios can hit station #1 or #2.

Earth Day fair: Tosh and Dierdre will be there, Jenni will stop by for awhile in the afternoon. Tosh will bring a table and Dierdre will bring a couple chairs.

If there’s an incident, like a possible fire, it’s always good to call 911. Our radios are meant only as a fallback when other channels of communication aren’t working.
